As a source of antibodies directed against possible conformational epitopes of human polymorphic β-amyloid 1−42 (Aβ1−42), it was decided to use a pool of 5 human sera from patients with AD (IgGAD) (mean age of 77.4 years, mean value of MMSE = 15.2). On the other hand, the monoclonal antibody YPF19 (AbDSerotec A Bio-Rad Company, IgG1-9820-5007) anti-Yersinia pestis F1 (reacting to Y. pestis F1 capsular antigen, Uniprot code P26948) was used to screen for putative conformational mimotopes homologous to Caf1 of Yersinia pestis.
