| Assay: | Pseudotyped virus infection inhibition assay |
| Assay Description: | Inhibition of MERS-CoV pseudovirus infection was assessed using a previously described method(PMID: 26164863). Briefly, the serially diluted tested peptides were added to a 96-well plate and incubated with MERS-CoV pseudovirus for 30 min at 37 °C. Then, the pseudovirus/peptide mixture was added to the Huh-7 cells. Cultures were refed with fresh medium at 12 h postinfection and incubated for an additional 48 h at 37 °C. Fluorescence was determined using a luciferase kit (Promega) and an Ultra 384 luminometer (Tecan). |
